[DENVER, CO,  FEBRUARY, 2023] —  Parkinson’s Pointe was recently awarded a $2,000 grant from The Walmart Community Grants Team and Facility #1492. Funds received from this grant will go towards supporting Parkinson’s Pointe mentorship, exercise, education and nutrition programs for people impacted by Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s Pointe is thrilled to partner with The Walmart Community Grants Team and Facility #1492, an organization that supports work in our communities and shares our desire to provide local impact. By receiving this grant, Parkinson’s Pointe is part of a long history of Walmart’s commitment to giving back to local communities.

Parkinson’s Pointe is a non-profit health promotion and wellness center in the Denver metro area that supports people affected by Parkinson’s disease through community connection, peer mentorship programs and PD-specific exercise and education classes. Parkinson’s Pointe programs, peer-to-peer mentorship and exercise classes help people to navigate the challenges associated with the diagnosis of Parkinson’s, increase resiliency and sustain healthy habits, and maintain or improve mobility to slow disease progression.
