Leon Vanderploeg brings his expertise in Information Technologies Management to Parkinson’s Pointe where he is heavily involved in RedCap, a data collection and management tool. Leon has a strong interest in creating ways to help quantify program effectiveness and positive outcomes.

Leon became involved with Parkinson’s Pointe through a dear friend of his whose descriptions of how Parkinson’s Pointe’s impacts people with Parkinson’s compelled Leon to offer his help as well. This eventually led to his membership on the board. Leon also serves on another local board and is engaged in his community.

With a close connection to family, Leon enjoys making and creating things with electronics, wood, plastic, and metal, especially when he can create with his children and grandchildren.
