Symposium

On March 6th, over 100 attendees gathered at the East Community Center for our biannual Wellbeing Symposium. The day began with a variety of exercise sessions, including indoor cycling, yoga, and strength and balance training. Carepartners participated in a heartfelt discussion led by Jill Duffy from The Negative Space, exploring the often-unspoken challenges of caregiving and sharing strategies for maintaining well-being. Meanwhile, individuals living with Parkinson’s joined University of Colorado physical therapists, Mark Manago and Cory Christiansen, for a session on action planning and overcoming exercise barriers.

Our expo featured 14 community partners offering valuable resources in a relaxed setting, and Break Bread provided a nourishing lunch. The event concluded with a compelling keynote from Daniel Corcos, PhD, emphasizing the importance of exercise and how to approach it with an athlete’s mindset. Thank you to everyone who joined us—if you missed it, stay tuned for future opportunities!
